Did A Product Sold By Ikea Inspire The Nest Thermostat Design?

A friend of mine finally dragged me into a local Ikea store to look around for some inspiration in home decorating. Although I saw a lot of nice goodies one item in particular caught my eye because it looked so much like a Nest Thermostat.

I don’t know about you, but it sure looks like a Nest thermostat to me. So I’m wondering if Nest might have gotten a little bit of Danish inspiration?
